Satva, honest and truthful - The ghost of Brier

Satva and Ahimsa were playing together at school and it was super duper fun.

So much fun that other children in the yard were joining in.
(Like what's the time Mr wolf - children on tip-pi toes creeping towards person at the front)

Satva chanted;

Shh, listen, super quiet
Can you hear the ghost of Brier?

Shh, listen, super quiet
I cant hear the ghost of Brier.

Shh, listen, super quiet
Can you hear the ghost of Brier?

Shh, listen, super quiet
I can't hear the ghost of Brier.

Well this was a very unusual game.  Satva would try to sneak up on Ahimsa and if Ahimsa did not turn around just before Satva touched her, then she would have to tell a story - truth or lie.

Satva was so close  now, that she was able to pounce on Ahimsa.  After all the excited screeching Satva said, now tell me a lie or a truth and i have to decide what it is.

"Alright then", Ahimsa stood up and thought for a moment (tree pose) and Aatva ( and rest of class stood in Goddess) .

Then she said, "I saw Belinda pick her nose and eat it", Ahimsa said looking very serious. 

Well Satva's eyes went round as she said, "eww, thats gross, when, where?".

Ahimsa felt a tiny tug of guilt but it was only a game and she wanted to win, "um, in class just before lunch".

"Oh my goodness, yuck ... Satva streched to the sky and said, "ok you win that one", and skipped off happily (children skip around room).

The next day after little break, Belinda came back into class crying.  Ahimsa said, Whats wrong Belinda?

Belinda was hugging her body tightly, "everyone thinks i pick my nose and eat it", she said between hiccups .  Ahimsa's face went white and she felt suddenly sick; it was all her fault.

At lunch time the whole class was playing the game, Ghost of Brier and because Ahimsa won yesterday she was the ghost today.   As the children got closer and closer she decided to get caught for truth or lie.

All the children chanted, truth or lie, truth or lie until Ahimsa yelled out "TRUTH!".

Ahimsa said, "Belinda DOES NOT pick her nose and eat it". (prayer pose)

Everyone yelled out FALSE FALSE FALSE
Except for Belinda who stepped forward and said quietly TRUE.

Ahimsa felt so relieved and happy to tell the truth that she felt like a wild happy animal (wild thing pose) and everyone followed because in their hearts they knew that it was all a lie.

Be honest and truthful and everything is easier ... for everyone. xx
